Hollywood Party Theme Ideas
By Mario Del Sol | September 1, 2009
To throw a Hollywood party theme, you need to decide early on what kind of party it is going to be. A Hollywood party can be broken down into a theme from a particular movie, movie characters or perhaps even an Oscar night.
It is important though that which ever you decide to go for, you have to single mindedly create that one theme, excluding all other themes for it to be effective.
Get some cardboard for your invitations and cut out some Oscar statue shapes. Address them to the VIP.
Depending on what theme you have gone for your costumes will be of famous movie characters, stars or if your party is an Oscars ceremony, your guests should dress black tie. Ladies in this instance will be in their very best cocktail dresses.
You should have an award for the best and worst outfit. Make sure you have some Oscar statues to give away for this.
Line your entrance with a red carpet. When inside, your guests should be greeted by a photographer waiting to take a glamour shot in front of a Hollywood backdrop.
Some props you can easily get hold of could be; famous street signs such as Hollywood Boulevard or Broadway, glossy magazines, movie posters, movie props such as a Walther PPK and a directors chair.
You could play the soundtrack from your favorite movie for the music. Otherwise there are the obvious classics such as Stardust and Singing in the Rain.
An ideal food choice would be simple finger buffets but have plenty of choice. Though consider hiring a waiter to add a touch of class.
The obvious choice of drink for your Hollywood “A listers” would be champagne. Place bottles in coolers around the room and near some of your props. Your waiter could also serve the drinks.
I hope you can make use from these Hollywood Party Theme ideas. We have many more Hollywood Party Theme ideas and suggestions to help make your party fun and memorable for you and all of your guests. Have fun!
