Travelers Need To Go To Munich Germany For Oktoberfest But It’s Amazing For So Many Other Reasons

The scenery, landmarks and attractions are what make Munich Germany such a great vacation spot. There are many kinds of attractions for a visitor of Munich. North of the Bavarian Alps on the River Isis, Munich will offer you amazing views from both architecture and nature angles. No matter where you go in the city

Munich was home to the 1972 Olympic Games and the Olympic Park that was built for this event is still in use today and pretty much always has some type of activity happening there on more than 200 days out of the year. Visitors can also view the Nymphenburg Palace which is the summer of home for the Munich aristocracy.

But while the streets of Munich are laden with beautiful sights, a visit to the city’s host of outstanding museums and art galleries is certainly worthwhile. The Deutsches Museum, for instance, which is located on an island in the Isar, is one of the oldest and largest science museums in the world. The Alte Pinakothek art museum is the largest Art museum in Germany. A must see for any art lover. If you’re a car lover, I am sure Munich’s BMW Museum will be of great interest.

Ballet week is celebrated in Munich with the Munich Opera festival. This week long event has performers from the Bavarian State Ballet which allows international ballet starts to celebrate this tradition by performing and dancing.

Since 1876 ever summer the Munich Opera Festival has occurred and is widely believed to be the most important music event in Germany. This highly regarded event includes performers from all across the globe. It’s quite obvious that the city of Munich is a fantastic vacation destination. You have so many different entertainment mediums to choose from such as art, music and dance. Within Munich you will find a lot of high class hotels, fine dining and shops with German made souvenirs so that you can bring your vacation home with you. As soon as you arrive in Munich, you will feel the history that surrounds you.

No matter what age you are or if it’s a family vacation you will be able to find something of interest in Munich. There are a number of hotels in Munich within the city’s core and this is something to consider when planning your vacation to Munich. Book your hotels early though if you’re planning to go to Oktoberfest this year as it’s always a popular that has people pouring into the city all month.
